Position: Accounting Manager

Location: 4532 W. IMPERIAL HWY, #B Hawthorne, CA 90304

Duties:

Maintaining account books, preparing financial statements, banking (reconciliation, bank deposits). Driver weekly reconciliations. Keeping track accounts receivable. Taking care all insurances general, auto liability. Workers compensation review. Quarterly and annual taxation. Federal & State. puc requirements / airport requirements and reports. Handling payroll department. Issuing 1099/k-1 to partners. Budgets and projections. Responsible for all aspects of the authorities accounting and financial activities – planning, budgeting, and reporting. Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options. Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Secure financial information by completing database backups. Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements. Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Compile with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Tax credit reporting and compliance for all the tax credit sites. Perform bank reconciliations and balance-sheet reconciliations. Coordinate and complete month-end and year-end financial responsibilities. Primary back-up to accounting staff in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as required. Maintain all finance department contract files and ensure payments in accordance with the terms of agreement. Ensure all finance functions have accurate and updated standard operating procedures, making changes where necessary.

Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related.
Experience: 2 years’ experience as Accountant, Accounting Manager or related.
Special Requirements: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Commerce or related, the employer will accept two (2) additional years of work experience.
